Project Overview
This contemporary two-storey dwelling was designed to deliver a spacious, sophisticated and highly functional family home, combining distinctive architectural features with generous living spaces and a strong connection to the outdoors.
Adam Murphy and ANS Design developed a design incorporating expansive open-plan living and dining areas, a contemporary kitchen with a substantial island benchtop, generously proportioned bedrooms, luxurious bathrooms and multiple spaces for family relaxation and entertaining.
A defining feature of the dwelling is its distinctive curved architectural glazing, which maximises natural light and creates visual connections between the interior and surrounding outdoor areas. The central staircase, generous ceiling heights and extensive windows further enhance the home’s sense of openness and architectural character.
The design also incorporates private balconies, landscaped gardens, a swimming pool and outdoor entertaining areas, providing opportunities for both everyday family living and larger gatherings.
The completed project demonstrates how thoughtful residential building design can bring together contemporary architecture, practical family accommodation and refined architectural detailing to create a comfortable and distinctive long-term home.
ANS Design developed the home with a strong focus on practical planning, natural light and the connection between indoor and outdoor areas. The design includes spacious open-plan living areas, a modern kitchen with a large island bench, multiple entertainment spaces, well-appointed bedrooms, contemporary bathrooms and a landscaped backyard with a swimming pool.
The completed dwelling balances everyday functionality with lifestyle-focused design, creating a modern family home suited to its Bella Vista setting.
Design Objectives
Functionality – Develop a well-planned two-storey dwelling that provides generous family accommodation, practical circulation and comfortable living spaces suited to contemporary family lifestyles.
Contemporary Architectural Character – Create a distinctive residential design incorporating clean architectural lines, curved glazing, generous ceiling heights and carefully considered external finishes to enhance the dwelling’s overall presentation.
Maximise Natural Light and Space – Incorporate expansive windows, open-plan living areas and generous room proportions to create bright, welcoming interiors with a strong sense of openness.
Indoor–Outdoor Living – Establish connections between the internal living spaces, private balconies, swimming pool and landscaped outdoor entertaining areas to support everyday family living and social gatherings.
Support the Approval Process – Prepare clear architectural design and documentation addressing the relevant local council planning controls, NSW planning requirements and applicable development approval pathway.
